Michelle has been teaching Yoga since 2008, Pre and Postnatal Yoga since 2012 and after graduating a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science and then exercise referral has been supporting clients with special conditions in yoga and other modes of exercise.  Specialist areas of teaching are: women's health during pregnancy and postpartum, athletes and runners (prof or recreational) to optimise performance, reduce injury risk, maintain balance in reciprocal muscle groups and injury rehabilitation, over 45's, who want to maintain a good level of strength (muscle mass, bone density), agility, good posture, suppleness and healthy movement patterns for life.

The focus of each session is on building students awareness of how the muscular system, with breath and bandhas, help to align the skeletal structure and create integrity in each pose.  This ensures safety as well as building a strong foundation for the physical side of yoga whilst cultivating body awareness in-keeping with the principles of sthiratã and sukhatã.  Pranayama (breathing techniques). Respiration influences every cell in the body stimulating endocrine functioning, brain performance, it fuels the process of turning oxygen and glucose into energy and creating total well-being, Mindfulness, Meditation and Mudras also cultivate health and well-being, alleviate stress and encourage a calm and focused mind.
